Internships and Residencies

The Department of Health Science and Human Ecology offers a variety of internship or residency opportunities for students in the undergraduate and graduate programs. These placements have been developed through partnerships with local community-based organizations, private organizations, and public health agencies throughout Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange Counties, as well as through contacts at the state and federal government level. Placement in these settings allows for student growth in knowledge and gives them the opportunity to receive practical experience in their career choice. Hand picked preceptors guide and oversee student work on projects that relate to the agencies goals while allowing students to put the skills they have learned in the classroom setting to work. Students are assigned an advisor depending on the area and degree they are seeking.
